If you're a writer, springtime should be inspirational. A writer shows us her feelings of spring and shares some spring writing ideas to get your motivated and inspired to write.
I always love spring, because it means that summer is on its way. I always like to take a break from my writing, if I can, and enjoy myself. This helps re-inspire me when I see everything in bloom, hear birds again, and can walk around in the evening or enjoy beaches. Ah, aren’t you feeling refreshed already? Winter brings the writing mood down, partly because writers, such as myself, often spend months indoors. I really don’t care to go out in the cold - besides, I tell myself I have work to do inside. Come on... admit it! You’re about to burst if you don’t see some sunshine, green grass, and flowers soon. Well, there’s good news for you - springtime is just around the corner. Isn’t that great? Spring is always the time of the year when writers should put down their pens and take a minute to smell the spring air, go outdoors, enjoy and take in the greenness. Hopefully, springtime is the time of the year to uncover new inspiration. Spring is when things are in bloom, coming to life, and flourishing after a long sleep. So look around you and see what you can find as you squint in the ever brighter, yellow sun and see the green. Write down your feelings and thoughts in poems and blogs, and most of all, suck up the refreshing feeling that summer is coming. If that isn’t inspiring, I don’t know what is! Ten Springtime Writing Ideas: 1. Write a poem about springtime and try to include the words: Blossom, Spring, Refreshing, Sunshine, and Love. 2. Write about the first day of spring. This is a good opportunity to explain how you knew it was the first day of spring. 3. Write about the lifting of winter’s hold on earth. Write descriptively, explaining the melting snow, the sound of birds singing, and the way the grass begins to show through, or trees bloom. Don’t spare any of the senses and go into great detail. 3. Springtime has a way of putting life back into your step, freeing your heart and mind, and making your life seem fresh again. Winter is a time when dust seems to settle on everything; you’re breathing stuffy air and you can’t go outside because it’s cold, so don’t be a hermit when spring comes.
