High school and university graduations, gardens needing constant vigilance whilst just sprouting with fresh vegetables and fruits, the house needing paint, arrangements for the kids now at home for the summer months - there simply isn't enough daylight hours left in the day for writing! Or is there? All the stressors of our hustle-bustle lifestyles seem set on driving you to the brink of exhaustion. In search of inspiration and perhaps a little reprieve, you log into the Write Spot for a nice read.

But where's the new articles? The cute stories? The yammering on the forum? Those, my friend, are very important questions. In fact, the answers have already been given. (Psst, look at the very first line.) Hmmmm, surely such an invaluable and worthwhile site shouldn't languish in the sunset of a soggy springtime! Whatever can I do to help prevent such a travesty?!?, you may well ask yourself.

I am so glad you asked! Pick up a pad of paper and a pen or pencil and WRITE. You know that few minutes while you're sitting in line at the take-out (waiting for whatever you're having for supper that night)? Instead of tapping your foot thinking of all you *could* be getting done in this time, WRITE. While you're anxiously waiting for your son or daughter to walk down the aisle at their commencement, WRITE. Those few minutes the store clerk is mixing the pretty new shade of paint for the house, WRITE. It doesn't have to be an entire article in one fell swoop; jot down an idea as it strikes and then expound on it whenever the muse grants you another moment of insight.

It is so easy to be caught up in the stress-filled angst of our lives, feeling as if there's not even enough time to draw breath least of all fulfill our inner longing to be a writer. Make the time for yourself. In doing so, you will actually find that you become more focused, more at peace and able to deal with all the other stressors in a more positive and calm manner. And more, you can contribute to others' well-being by submitting to the Write Spot. Your articles highlighting insights on the art of writing are invaluable. Not only do they present a much needed respite from the everyday bombardment of the minutiae of life, they provide encouragement to your fellow writer to step outside the same confining box and fulfill himself or herself as a writer.

We could theoretically do this without you - but why would we? YOU are us, you are ourselves, our brothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, children. YOU keep us going, YOU keep us motivated, YOU keep us coming back for more. Now YOU need to find those odd moments to pick up the pad and pen and WRITE. Send us your insights, your words of encouragement, your pearls of wisdom. Below, I've reposted a list of article prompts. It's by no means all-encompassing, but perhaps it'll get your poor tired brain cells clammoring to put pen to paper.

We look forward to logging on and enjoying the brief reprieve your articles provide after a crazy day.
