Article marketing is a great way to advertise. Many marketers however fail to take advantage of it. They don't know how to write short article and they think it's difficult to learn.
Nothing is further from the truth. Coming up with the right subject and gathering the relevant information can be more difficult at times. Writing the actual article is the easy part once you know how.

- Think of a title for your article. Be specific with the title to help narrow down the subject. You're writing a 400 word article, not a 400 page report. You don't want to discuss everything under the sun. Refer to the title often when you write. It keeps you focus on the topic and not go astray.
- Write down 2-4 relevant points based on the article title. Pick and add to a key point to turn it into a proper paragraph. Explain the point in more details. Illustrate it with examples and so on. Repeat with another key point. Pretty soon you will complete the main body of the article.
- Time to wrap up the article. Summarize the main points in step 2. Then conclude it with your own observations. And there you have yourself a conclusion.
- You're only short of an introduction now. Start off with some general statements on the article topic. Gradually leading to the points in the main body. And voila! You have just finished writing the article.
- One last step: review and revise. Break for a few hours before you start step 5 if time permits. The break usually gives you a fresh perspective on the article. Do anything you deem fit at this stage to refine the article. For instance, read though and rewrite the article so it runs more smoothly. Check the grammar. Check the spelling and so on.
