Issue No. 19: Thank You, Punxsutawney Phil!

Image by Debbie Ridpath-Ohi of InkyGirl.com Copyright 2007

For most of us in non-tropical parts of the country, it's been frigid, freezing, and double-BRRRR worthy! Up in the northeast, it's been feeling like below 0, thanks to the good ol' wind chill.

We hope you're all doing your best to keep warm. The great news is that Punxsutawney Phil, our favorite groundhog, saw no shadow on the 2nd of this month -- he says "Spring is on its way!" And thank the holy gods for that!

We have a few more cold weeks ahead of us. The transition from winter to spring is a marvelous time for writers. There is much inspiration to be found in our surroundings. The winter-white world around us begins to fade, and colors and beautiful skies come our way. Why not take advantage of that? Start now, while it's cold and you just might feel more inspired come spring.

For now, stay warm and cozy. Curl up with a blanket and a good book and a hot cup of cocoa, and hibernate until spring hits! Enjoy Issue 19...

The Pope - This story started as a writing exercise where you select an article, a noun and a verb. I must admit I changed the verb as I got into the story. The rest happened as I watched.
