Today is very snowy cloudy and cold

I'm so glad I have a blanket to hold.

The snow covered the cars and street

and real soon it will cover my feet!

There is so much snow it covers the grass

hiding the path we use to walk to class.

I saw on the news school is closed today

that gave me a plan to go out and play!

I put on my boots, scarf, coat, and hat

but there was something wrong with that.

I was missing one little glove

the one that is brown like a turtle dove.

Then I remembered back in December

my mom bought me a new pair

that felt soft like a teddy bear!

I put them on and outside I flew

as the wind blew and blew!

The snow looked so white and clean

it reminded me of yummy ice cream!

I went to blow up a float

to sail in the snow just like a boat!

The snow was so slippery I thought I'd slip

but I sailed the snow just like a ship!
