Flower-Of-Decadence Misplaced*Reality
Rebekah Evans
same situation just another day why should i listen you have nothing nice to say
settle settle for second best why have it all when you could have it now
dreaming a spectrum of colors just to wake to the same old grey self-absorbed in our aimless soul-searching too vain to notice we're all the same
spinning faster in the gallows of this maudlin stillness getting sucked into the madness chaos breeds our stagnant co-existance just hold your breath, let's see what happens
hold the pieces together with a band-aid no time to fall apart now keep bending myself only to keep you impressed still haven't broken somehow
this broken glass is so hard to digest but it's all i can seem to keep down
look anywhere but up as the sky comes crashing flat on your face tears fall freely from those sleepy hazel eyes and plummit off to some shadowy place
who the hell are they to try and label you silence them now with the back of your hand introduce their faces to your fists let them see now where they stand
fallow your dreams through the solitude of night tell me, how do you feel dance in and out of counciousness confusing all that's real
my ideas are more poetic than your memories are true time pauses in an instant if I only ask it to many times while you were sleeping in the middle of the day I' could see what lurks just out of view
your heart all festered and rotten the whole way through It was suddenly apparent what refused emotions can do not how I had precieved you
To yourself you should always be true try to be more of what is likely not and less of that which is easily forgot be what no one else can be anything that you want to all that this world requires is that you..............be you
