Can you hear it…the many dialects of the ocean

That bellow from the bows of silence…Listen

Can you hear it…the sounds of nostalgia that

Beckon the past of a mother’s voice demand

Response—Listen! The matriarch calls

Can you hear it…the freedom to long for

Silence that one can only bear from years of

Oppression…Listen-- Silence Speaks

Can you hear it …when a child cries out to the

Depths of the ocean for comfort from the horrors

Of silence –Shhhhh-Listen; Da’ comin’

Can you hear it…Silence speaks
