What does it matter that we've never agreed-

that we've never apologized for a single misdeed?

What does it matter if I'm wrong or you're right

if we fight over nothing the rest of our life?

When will it matter that we did not bend-

that we "sank with the ship..!"

It's our pride we defend.

Why does it matter if we do not try-

if we let understanding just pass right on by?
