A river of dreams

streams
streams

Its beginning

a mere drop
that puddled

Befuddled
by the logic
that tries to trick
a mind that wants

to dream

When
our dreams pass
the plane of night
and alas
cross over

to the
open eyed kingdom

Then
and only then

Illusion coats
its raspy throat
hiding truth
with
a dangerous air
of beauty

Oh so fair
that
we lose sight
of duty

For demons dance
in masquerades
behind closed shades

And fill
illusions desire
with hellish
pits of fire
