Continued from Winnie: My Dream...
I am Winnie the intelligent bear. Remember me? I bet. I am the bear that was rescued by a cute couple from my miserable life at the fun fair. They are now officially my Bubu and Mumu. Bubu is a very smart mathematician (always engrossed in his calculations) while Mumu is a very enthusiastic chemist (which explains why I always smell smoke at home…he he!). Anyway, I myself am a very intelligent hunny professor. I have a degree in Hunny Production, a Master’s in Hunny Management and a doctorate in Hunny Q & Q (Quantity and Quality), all thanks to Bubu and Mumu’s expert teachings. This explains why you shouldn’t be surprised to see that I have stocks of world class hunny. My favourite pastime? I like to take my own sweet time savouring the taste of the wonderful hunny. Number two, I like to play “kick kick” with my buddies.
Ok, back to my Bubu and Mumu. 8th of August 2001. On this day, my Bubu and Mumu were celebrating their first anniversary of dating. I was very proud to be with them this particular special day. They are really a couple in a million. My Bubu and Mumu are the sweetest people I know in this whole big world. They are cute, loving and kind hearted. How did they end up together? Listen to the story, you have to pay real attention because their love story is one in a million, too.
Once upon a time, a boy and a girl were chosen to go to a university, The University of Total Madness. They got offered for different courses. One a mathematics educator, the other a chemistry scientist. The total madness of the orientation week ended with a good thing – they met and fell in love with each other. He thought she was his senior with her smart looking glasses. She thought he was cute! They met again a week later at the faculty’s welcoming party. They came to the party with different partners but ended up dancing together all night long. Was it fate? I guess so.
A week after the party, the girl got a mysterious call and was happily surprised that the caller was her Prince Charming at the welcoming party. They agreed to meet each other, and she got her first date present. It was a container stuffed with yummylicious durians. (It’s her favourite fruit.) No doubt that the boy had succeeded in winning her heart. Who were they? Indeed, they are my Bubu and Mumu.
Today, Bubu is very excited to bring Mumu out to town. I love to see the sparkle in Mumu’s eyes. It shows that she is happy and feeling content with her life, which I think everyone else should be doing too for world peace.
Aha! Bubu must be planning a surprise for Mumu with that mischievous look in his eyes. No matter what, Mumu will love him even more for remembering her birthday. It’s the sweetest thing ever, don’t you think so?
I still remember vividly how I got the name “Winnie”. “He looks so much alike Winnie the Pooh,” Mumu had claimed.
Well, I cannot deny that there are many other bears which look like Winnie the Pooh but that does not mean that all of them have to be named after the famous star. It’s common but I like it. At times, I like to imagine myself as the glamorous star himself. I like the feeling very much. Still, I like being myself even more, Winnie the intelligent bear. You can’t help being intelligent if you have a great chemist as Mumu and a great mathematician as Bubu, can you?
Mumu often tells me that we must strive hard to achieve our dreams. I have a dream, remember? Yeah, to have someone who loves me for what I am. Now that I have two people who love me very much for myself, I have to strive hard to keep everyone together. Bubu always tells me how much he loves me. Mumu always says that I have a pair of eyes that look like Bubu’s. I am very proud of my eyes. I am very proud of my intelligence as well. Bubu always advises me so that I will not misuse my intelligence. I admit that, sometimes, I can be very naughty, but over and all, I am a very good bear.
The one thing I love most is watching movies together with Bubu and Mumu. They always bring me with them to cinemas to catch up with the latest movie. I love watching action movies, and it helps a lot in improving my “kick kick” skills. Although I like mimicking the famous Winnie the Pooh, I still like to imagine myself as the hero in a movie, always saving those pitiful damsels in distress. And oh, I love The Matrix. I love the part where the hero always got stuck in the air. I learn the action pretty well, and when I show it off to Bubu and Mumu, the situation often gets uncontrollable.
I love hip hop dance and drums. You can say that I have a beautiful music talent that should not be wasted. Although I am fat, ‘fat’ does not mean that I cannot dance well. As for drums, those are really my favourites. Bubu has been teaching me since the first day I came back with them. It is one of the best ways to release stress. I like singing, as well. I feel so shy when people cover their ears with their palms. I think they like my musical voice so much that they are touched, don’t you think so?
Over the one year with Bubu and Mumu, I felt happiness that I had never felt at the factory. Bubu and Mumu teach me all the things they could teach a child. They bought me my idol’s albums and movies, Winnie the Pooh. They brought me out to see the amazing outside world. Oh, how much I love them! There will be none other like them. They are my beloved Bubu and Mumu.
