Surface appearances may show beauty and tranquilty yet the reality may be struggle.

Crane stands in placid waters

That hide the shackling chains

Stealing freedoms flight

Wings beat against ghostly air

Grasping with each feather for release

Yet held firmly in the earth's embrace

Wind, in it’s infinite flow

Mocks the earthbound plight

Of the graceful, yet unfortunate creature

"Do you remember the sights from on high

The whispers of sound and taste of the breeze

The freedom to choose among all these things"

Water, comforts with its caress

Soothing, with spoken encouragement

Offering solution to Life's travail

"See the iron with which you are bound

Strong now but weakened to rust

Allow patience to be married to strength"

Setting Sun silhouettes striving Crane

Wings beat against ghostly air

Patiently fighting for Freedoms flight
