1. What is Private Messaging?

It's like having your own personal email account at WriteSpot.org! Registered members can send messages to one another with ease - and without revealing your personal email address. With the presence of spam nowadays, we feel that it is important to protect your privacy. With Private Messaging, you can write messages to other registered members without ever showing your email adress.

2. How do I send a Private Message?

There are two ways to send a message. You can send a message by logging into your WriteSpot.org account. In the User Menu, click Private Messaging. Type in the recipient's username, the subject of your message, then the message itself. Click the Send button when you're finished. The message will be sent automatically.

Another way: Log into your WriteSpot.org account. Click Member List on the User Menu. Click on the profile of the member you want to contact. Above the user's profile, click the Messages button, then choose an option. You can choose Send Private Message or Send Email.

3. Can I send email to registered members through Private Messaging?

Yes. It's a great way to send an email to other members without revealing your personal email address, while protecting the recipient at the same time. To send an email, log in to your account. In the User Menu, click Member List. Click on the profile of a user. Above the user's profile, click on the Messages button, then choose Send Email. Follow the above instructions (Question 2) to send your message.

4. How will the recipient know that I sent a Private Message?

As soon as you send your message, the user will receive an email notification that will inform them that a new private message awaits in their inbox.
