PoorBest

Have you ever sat at your desk, intending to write, yet no words come tripping forth from your pen?  This is the result of such a session with a word processor several years ago.

This blank screen mocks me
    mirrors its disdain
    insults my ability
    questions my talent
    laughs at my poor attempts
    ...taunting

The cursor pulsates with haughtiness
    blinks its contempt
    signals its scorn
    waits with ill-hidden spite
    not expecting displacement
    ...jeering

The keys lie silent.
