1. How do I edit my profile?

To edit your profile, select My Profile from the User Menu. When you're in the My Profile section, you'll see two buttons above your profile. Click Edit, and select an item to edit. On the Update Your Profile page, you'll see the tabs Member Info, Contact Info, Writer Profile, and Bio. You can click on each of those tabs to edit that particular section of your profile. When you're finished, click Update at the bottom of your profile.

 2. How do I change the image on my profile?

On the User Menu, select My Profile. When you're in the My Profile section, you'll see two buttons above your profile. Click Edit, and select Update Your Image. You can add an image in two ways: you can upload your own image by selecting an image from your computer. (Hit "browse", find the image you want, then click "upload".) Or, you may select from image from our available images. When you select an image from our gallery, you must click Confirm Choice to save the image in your profile.

3. I don't have an image to upload! I hate the default image... what are my options?

There is a gallery of images you can use. Go into My Profile, click the Edit button, then select Update Your Image. You will see several free images that you can use. Just click on the one you like. Click Update when you're done choosing an image.

Or, you can go into My Profile, click Edit, then select Remove Image. This will remove the image from your profile altogether.

4. How do I use the User Profile? What are tabs?

There are several sections to your profile. Member Info is what the profile is set up to view by default. You can edit each section (Member Info, Bio, Writer Profile) by clicking My Profile, then click the Edit button. Choose Update Your Profile. You will see several tabs above your profile. Click on each one to change or add your information. When you're done, hit the Update button below your profile to save your info.

5. What's the point of the User Profile?

User profiles allow visitors and site members to get to know you better. It gives all of us an idea of who is in our writing community. Also, if a submitted item gets published on WriteSpot.org, a link to your profile will appear in the article you wrote. If a user enjoyed your article, short story, or poem, they can click on your name in the article and look through WriteSpot.org articles you've written, as well as all the other info that you entered into your profile. It's a great way to make new friends and become known in the WriteSpot.org community of writers!
