Click here to see the profile of this user 		Sad, SHOCKING News - 09/04/2006 I heard some very shocking news today... perhaps some of you have also heard about it.

Steve Irwin, also known as "The Crocodile Hunter", was killed today. A 44-year-old wildlife conservationist, Irwin was swimming off of the northeastern coast of Australia where a stingray's poisonous barb pierced his heart.

I was never a huge fan of Steve Irwin, but this news saddens to me... he was a true animal lover, which I respect from anyone. What makes me even sadder is the fact that rare accident happened while filming a documentary for the Animal Planet, titled "Ocean's Deadliest". Also, he leaves behind his two young children, 8 and 3, and his wife, Teri.

I can't believe it! After all the crocs he's been inches from, and the scrapes he's had with the dangers of nature, his life was taken away by a stingray. What a way to go...
