Hey Jim, great to have you here. It's good to see another fiction writer. It takes some work, but it can be very fun. Reading the articles helps a lot. I like to take something that has some truth, at least some reference to what I know about and then turn it into something interesting. It doesn't even have to be anything monumental to start from. I grew up on a farm. So I have been working on a story that center's around dirt. Think that sounds weird, it's a suspense. Have fun. LOL
