Are Poems Getting Too Sad? - 09/11/2006
I get to see a lot of poems in my travels online, and I've been noticing a trend - 90% of the poems I come across are dead depressing and I don't feel good after I read it.
What ever happened to happy poems or funny ones? It's getting more rare to see. Is it just the "in" thing to produce sad, tear-jerker, not-feeling-so good poems? Or are depression, anger, and sadness so strong that it's just the type of poems that people find thrilling to write?
