Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 09/16/2007Actually, I check in to the site a couple of times a day. Since I can talk to myself without typing; I don't usually post.
It sure makes being a mod very easy.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 09/16/2007You knew what I meant. It's much easier to run with a pack than to drag a plow. I wasn't making a personal reference. But, I think you know that. What we need are some people to run with on here. I think we are missing a lot of them by waiting for them to find us instead of the other way around. We don't need to go begging, but there are writers teaching courses all over the world who would love to have an article published in a magazine like this. They look for those opportunities. It also would give this mag. a lot more credibility.
I may be placing the cart before the horse, but aren't you guys tired of pulling an tugging after all this time. Random writers like myself can only take a new writer so far, because for one thing, I'm kind of new myself. We could also court some more well known writers. Heck we'll get a lot of no's, but a few yesses from people who are willing is better than tugging it out of people who feel they aren't ready for that step yet.
Sorry for the inference. I'm on my high horse and I think I'll probably get knocked off. But, maybe you'll like something I said.
I certainly don't mean any of this in a bad way.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 09/15/2007Send me an e-mail, I do know some html and have a reference book here, not an expert, but have completed a class in it. I've also had a course in desktop publishing for what that's worth. I want to help with what I can, but can't help with what I don't know needs doing. I'd love to do more writing, but not if its setting on a shelf. Thanks for the reply FalconDance. You have become the horse pulling the wagon it seems. I always felt sorry for the horse. LOL

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 09/15/2007Sorry 'bout that. It's largely my fault - Life became so cursed busy all the sudden for me that I only check in myself once every blue moon or so. I'll try to do better.
I heard from Helene a while back. Perhaps her situation hasn't settled as quickly as she'd thought since she hasn't returned to us. Best hopes to her.
I put out the hue and cry several months ago to our old team/staff but there was NO response whatsoever. Really pissed me off. Anybody wanna help?
Will try to get back on track for the Oct 2 issue.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 09/14/2007I keep wondering if this thing is even a viable site these days. I come back every so often to find things just as before. I thought we were going to get some action when helene checked back in, but haven't heard anymore. Has anyone else any idea if we even have a managing editor anymore, other than in name only?
Sorry, I just worked really hard on some stuff a while back for this site and nothing has happened. I just don't know if it's still an entity, or just an ungoverned site.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 06/29/2007I have been in the depths of depression, or as I like to say, life as usual. If your life is incomplete without my shining presence......then I guess I'll try to shine. I sure wouldn't want you to be incomplete.
Just to liven up your day, I'll relate that I got held up at gunpoint while at work today. It's an experience that really clears up those questions about whether life is worth living.
