Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 01/02/2008...pulling down the big 2007 banner, which seems to have yellowed slightly and grown cobwebs... hoisting a sparkly new 2008 banner....
HEY Y'ALL!!! First post of the New Year! Yee-haw! I'll tell you what, the first ten people to show up here get a free glass of champagne! And antryg -- no double-dipping. I'm way onto your pirate disguise.
A toast: To imagination, inspiration and punctuation! And health and happiness and that sort of stuff.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 11/15/2007I used to have a clarion. I haven't called one of them in years. Ahhh, that brings back the memories.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 11/15/2007In case anyone from the WS team actually shows up here (except for antryg, of course ), I have put out the clarion call for either action or resignation of said team.
Helene, wouldn't it be nice if you piped in every now and then.
.....goes off to get ready for work, thoroughly disgusted with the lot of them.....

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 10/30/2007Hey, you want spooky, I'll give you spooky. Even if its not spelled right. The poem may be better waiting till sometimes in late spring or early summer. The title was "The First Lake Trip of Summer."

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 10/28/2007Thanks, sweetie. I'll let him know. It was a massive coronary at her home so at least she didn't feel any pain (we assume). Here then gone in a blink of the eye, likely.
Now then, about those articles............
Trying to work out a story about Muslim Socialists (yeah, weird, but a friend and I were joking about how the school here thinks homeschoolers are THE worst terrorist threat *ever* - and somehow homeschoolers got termed Muslim Socialists, which is the worst label we could come up in our completely sober states of hilarity). I know for PC purposes, that label simply won't do, but it gives me something to work with .
...looks at the state of the messy living room... Guess I'd better organize the bags of wool and spinning wheels so I can build a nice cozy fire tonight in the woodstove and maybe get some writing done.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 10/27/2007I'm really sad to hear about your bad news. Let Budha know that my thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 10/25/2007Sorry not to have been around much, guys. Budha's mom died a couple weeks ago and we've been trying to sort everything out (as well as carrying on with life in general, of course), and I haven't put the new issue up. I'll try to get one up next week.
Glenda, go ahead and submit your poetry. If it is in the backend, I'll tag it as a no-no, and there's no worries about double submission, etc.
Anybody have any suitable spooky stuff to submit for next week?

Re:The Bard's Coffee Shop 2007 1st edition - 10/03/2007I'm lower than a snakes belly in a ditch and not a mangy polecat. If you can't tell the difference, explaining it to you won't help.
