Re:Check in my Items - 08/02/2006 you're almost correct. Except Falcon will do a little more than push you done. She'd push you down AND eat all your chocolate, right in your face. It's more painful that way, I think. Btw, trying to get us a shoutbox!!

It's a little more complicated... when your just reading, you're okay. When you write and you hit apply but never hit save, then we'll never get it. So all you have to do is hit check in so that we get it. If you're confused, just hit "check in" after you submit your pieces. It won't hurt anything! Don't be scared!

Re:Check in my Items - 08/02/2006 So, even if I read my own stuff, I have to check it back in or FalconDance is gonna steal all my chocolate and push me down?

Re:Check in my Items - 08/02/2006 It's kinda like going to the library. You can read the book at the library, but you have to check it out to take it home. When you're done reading, you have to take it back to the library to have it checked in.

Here, you write your pieces at WriteSpot.org (the library)... you start writing your piece (at the library). You hit "apply" a couple of times to keep yourself logged in... But this means that you've taken your "book" home and never brought it back to library! So to make sure that we receive your "book", you check in your items.... it takes everything that you've applied (but never saved) and sends it to us.

Unlike the library, we're much nicer. we won't charge you for late check ins. Although FalconDance might beat you up.

Check in my Items - 08/02/2006 What is the Check-In My Items heading? What did I check out? How do you check out something and why would you want to do so?

Maybe I'm a total doofus but I just don't understand.
