Bill Bailey
In 1970 I founded and published 'The Good News Paper' , the worlds first newspaper that printed only good news. In its 2-years of publication it gathered over 30,000 subscribers in 50 states, 800 cities, and 9 foreign countries.
In 1987 I produced good news stories for Turner Broadcasting, NBC, and UPN, and in 1996, Simon and Schuster published my book, 'America's Good News Almanac'
In 2005 I formed Dry Creek Press in order to publish an upcoming series of books, called 'The Best of Us' , with the first The Best of us, 50 Inspiring Ordinary People Who are Making the World a Better Place, due to launch in 2006. It will be followed by 'The Best of Us' in Business, Teaching, Medicine, Politics, Technology, etc. @0 titles are planned so far.
The marketing strategy is similar to the Chicken Soup for the Soul series, and my objective is to sell enough books to encourage a major publisher to take over the print rights within 12-24 months.
